Shaniwarwada is the most favorite spot of many puneites for evening time to relax and chitchat with friend and families. It is a fortress like structure and it was the erstwhile palace of the Peshwas. But it was mostly destroyed by a fire in 1828.
The walls are so massive those still remain as the proofs of its toughness. This palace was built in the year 1736 by Bajirao Peshawa.
