St. John Church was built in the year 1787. It is first Anglican Cathedral in the Kolkata city. It is impressive monument from the Raj in Kolkata. Many famous paintings and artefacts of historic interest can be found here. Copy of Zoffany's famous painting is also available to viewers.
'The Last Supper', 'Adorns the altar' and many relics of historical background are also seen in this church. This is the main place of worship of the English. It is very notable among the other tombs and mausoleums in the churchyard are the octagonal mausoleum of Job Charnock.
