Rabindra Sarovar is a park and picnic spot. It is with a central lake and overhanging trees around it. It was formed after combination of the two lakes of Dhakuria and made a beautiful sward of green all around the lakes. Swaying palms, which adorn the banks, make this place more attractive. Rabindra Sarobar is very calm place for all who want to relax from the crowded Kolkata city.
The regatta events is held here and public swimming pool and a Japanese Buddhist temple are other considerable lakeside attractions. Small Island at the south end of this lake is joined to the main land with a suspension bridge. Famous Rabindra Stadium is on the north east side.
