It is nice red brick structure and located on the Chitpur Road. Jorasanko Tagore House was ancestral home of the great poet as well as a philosopher 'Rabindranath Tagore'. The Rabindra Bharati University with Rabindra Bharati Museum also located in the same building.
The building is now under control of the state government and it is taken cared by the Rabindra Bharati Society. This society also conducts many cultural shows and activities at this place. The Rabindra Bharati University is mainly for dance and drama, also associated with art and music.
These are the field in which Tagore has made remarkable work. The Rabindra Bharati Museum was initially the residence of Tagore. This building has great resemblance with the Scottish style.
