Dakshineshwar Kali Temple and Belur Math

This temple is located across the river and on the north of Belur Math. The temple is the place where Ramakrishna, a priest, and it is supposed that here he reached his spiritual vision of the unity of all religions. The temple was built in the year 1847.

It is surrounded by twelve other temples and all are dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located on the north of Kolkata city, Dakshineshwar temple is mostly famous for group of thirteen temples all together at a single place, and all are built in the year 1855.

The largest of all these temples is the main temple and it is of Goddess Kali. It is nice devotional spot and often visited by number of devotees.
