The festival of 'Vijayadashami' is one of the auspicious day in the Indian tradition. On this day worshipping the shakti as per the methods in the scriptures, on the ninth day of 'Navratri' the householders can gain the threefold powers in many ways like physical, mental or spiritual and progress in life without a difficulty.

Many years ago Shri Ram started the journey towards 'Lanka - Ravan Rajya', for killing him in war and release his wife 'Mata Sita', so before that he worshiped goddess Shakti for nine days to have special powers for his mission to Lanka. The victory of Shri Ram over Lankaraj Ravan is the symbol of the victory of virtuosity and morality over unrighteousness and immorality.

As Ram proceeded to Lanka to defeat Ravan on the 10th day Purnatithi and in Shravan, the day then after known as vijaya dashami and considered as auspicious day.
