Samthar Fort is very massive and impressive fort as well as it s very well maintained building. The visitors get attracted by the royal gold throne and the standard, gilded palanquin's displayed in the inner side of this historical fort.
This is the only fort which has the main centre of the Giri sect military power.

- By Air - The nearest airport from Jhansi is Gwalior and it is at a distance of 98 kilometers from it.
- By Rail - It is nice to go to Jhansi by rail as this place is well connected by an excellent railway network with all major cities.
- By Road - Jhansi is on National Highways 25 and 26 and so it well linked by roads to all major cities nearby.
