Kanpur Memorial Church was built in the year 1857 and in honor of the British, who lost lives in the war of 1857. It was designed by Walter Granville, who was the architect of the east Bengal railway.
The style of the church is Lombardic Gothic style and all monuments to the mutiny. Memorial Garden on its east and the Military Cemetery on the edge of the cantonment are better places to see.
