Jhansi Fort is of 17th century fort and it was built by Raja Bir Singh. It is situated on the top of hill and that was an army stronghold in that time. There is a Karak Bijli tank inside the fort.
A museum is there in the fort which presents the sculpture collection as well as it provides the lots of information about the Bundelkhand and its history.
How to go
- By Air - The nearest airport from Jhansi is Gwalior and it is at a distance of 98 kilometers from it.
- By Rail - It is nice to go to Jhansi by rail as this place is well connected by an excellent railway network with all major cities.
- By Road - Jhansi is on National Highways 25 and 26 and so it well linked by roads to all major cities nearby.
