The mount of Jajmau lies on the eastern end of the Kanpur and it occupies major place from the ancient sites with 600 BC to 1600 AD excavations revealing antiquities. Jajmau was the main place of fort of the puranic king Yayati. In ancient times it is known as Siddhapuri and it is believed that it was capital city of Yayati King.

This place adds attraction to visitors tours by the temple it has namely of Siddhnath and Siddha Devi. It also has a mausoleum of the famous Sufi saint named Makhdum Shah Al-Ul-Haq. It was built by the Firoz Shah in the year 1358.
