Barua Sagar is the place just 24 kilometers away from the Jhansi-Khajuraho road. This place got this name after the Barua Sagar Tal. It is a very huge lake and it is created nearly before 260 years. Orchha King Udit Singh actually built this great embankment.
It has one more point of attraction for the visitors is that, the fort nearby is located at some height from here and so one can enjoy the excellent view of this lake as well as surrounding landscape from that fort. There is one Gupta period temple nice to visit from here and known as Jarai-ka-Math.
How to go
- By Air - The nearest airport from Jhansi is Gwalior and it is at a distance of 98 kilometers from it.
- By Rail - It is nice to go to Jhansi by rail as this place is well connected by an excellent railway network with all major cities.
- By Road - Jhansi is on National Highways 25 and 26 and so it well linked by roads to all major cities nearby.
