Neer Mahal is at a distance of 53 kilometers from Agartala. It was built just like fairy castle and it is on the island in the center of 5 square kilometer Rudrasagar Lake.
In the year 1930 Maharajah Birbikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur built this water-palace. It has pavilions, towers, bridges and moats and used that time as summer resort. It is at a distance of 55 kilometers from Agartala. Its very beautiful and peaceful place, so it attracts many of the migrating birds species in winter season.
The structure of this mahal is perfectly of Hindu-Mughal architecture style. It is the only one lake palace in whole India. One can reach here by boat from Rajghat and then there are two separate sets of steps one for the Maharajah and other for Maharani.
