Tourist places In Pilak, Tripura

Debtamura is the rock-cuts and some stone carvings found in Tripura. The imposing on the vertical walls of Unakoti and Pilak besides Debtamura are all examples of stone carvings. These carved images are from 15th and 16th century.

Debtamura is at a distance of 75 kilometers from Agartala. It is located in-between Udaipur and Amarpur on the banks of the River Gomati. All the rocks on the banks of the river are known with name Chabimura.

Pilak

Pilak is at a distance of 100 kilometers from Agartala and it is located on the southern side of Tripura. It has many secrets and all become visible on excavations and continues to reveal as work continue. These carved images are from 8th and 9th century.

Unakoti

In eastern India it is one of the most sacred Shaivite site and ancient pilgrimage centre of Unakoti is of 8th century. Here one can see huge number of rock cut images of Hindu Gods and Goddesses carved on the rocky-wall of the hill.

Unakoti literally means one less than a Crore and it is very famous for imposing Unakotiswara Kal Bhairava. It is 30 feet high and with a headdress of 10 feet in height.
