Senji or Gingee is 37 kilometers away from Tiruvannamalai. It has 15th century Vijayanagara fort as a historical monument and it explore many historical things.
The Vijayanagars constructed this fort in 16th century, It had been attacked by many armies and still it is a peaceful and with a beautiful surroundings.
There are Four temples are there inside the fort, Venkataramana Temple is the largest among all. Buildings in that fort contain a granary, mosque, Shiva temple as well as prominent and recently restored audience hall.
It is open for all to visit in-between 9 am to 5 pm.
