Arunachal Pradesh Museum
Arunachal Pradesh Museum is the place where portrays of the art and culture of the different tribes in the Arunachal Pradesh are seen. This museum is situated in the North-Eastern Council Secretariat.
Bishop and Beadon Falls
Bishop and Beadon Falls is situated in a land where there is a much rainfall and it is natural stunning waterfalls and are willingly available. These waterfalls flow from a height of nearly 135 and 120 meters respectively into a deep valley.
Wei T dem of Sweet Falls

Botanical Garden is spread over an area of 3.5 acres and it is the attractive garden and museum. It is situated below just the Ward Lake and it also houses more than 1200 different principally resident plants ad also include the medicinal and ornamental ones in those. Additionally downwards there is a striking golf course and it is called as the Gleneagles of the East.
Butterfly Museum
Butterfly Museum is located in the private residence between Police Bazar and Jaiaw 'Robert' Hospital, where one can find butterflies and those are bred for conservation and sale. Lady Hydari Park
Lady Hydari Park is a clean and tidy park and it is more popular, principally with youthful local couples, and there is a mini zoo as well as well laid-out flowerbeds. It is planned like a Japanese garden.
It is open from 10 am to 4.30 pm each day of a week and on Sunday from 10 am to 12 noon.
Ward's Lake
Ward's lake is an attractive horse-shoe shaped lake and it is placed in site of botanical gardens and well-liked for boating. It is near Raj Bhavan and also at a distance of few minutes walk from north. The Ward's Lake is named after the chief commissioner William Ward and it was the spotlight of European settlement here.
Cathedral of Mary Held of Christian
Cathedral of Mary Held of Christian is better known as Don Bosco and it is the attractive church and it has blemished glass windows and high curves. It is straight above the Grotto church. The All Saints Church opposite the State Central Library is another beautiful construction of wood and plaster.
Crinoline Falls
Crinoline falls has a swimming pool and it is bordered by orchids, preserved bonsais and a rock pool with reeds and water lilies. It is near Lady Hydari Park.
Meghalaya State Museum
Meghalaya State Museum is the museum located on a Kacheri Road and it has some appealing sculptures. It is situated in the complex and it houses the State Central Library and exhibits the culture and art of Meghalaya. It is open from 10 am to 4.30 pm daily, except Sunday. There is no entry fee.
Festivals in Shilong
In the month of April - Shad Suk Mynsiem is celebrated and it is a 2-day folk-dance festival of thanksgiving.
In the month of June and July - Behdeinklam, Khasi Shed Nongkrem; dance festival at Smit.
In the month of October and November - 5-day Nongkrem Dances for harvest and Autumn Festival.
In the month of November - Wangala Garo '100 Drums festival' at Ashanagari near Tura during harvest, and laho dances at Jowai.
