Visapur Fort
Visapur Fort situated near the Ahmadnagar district of the Maharashtra, is famous for its well protected wall with designs, caves and temples. Very close to the fort Lohagad near Malwali, it is tourist attraction for copper gun terret, cistern of water, old houses and decorated arch. Built in eighteen century by the Balaji Vishwanath, the first Peshwa, Visapur is highly elevated to the Lohagarh.
The semicircular pass between two forts is very famous and believed that one woman in the war time crossed it with rope. Government houses over there were the palaces of the Peshwas’s. Mahadev and Hanuman temples are also there to see.
