Vijaygad, Vetalgad Forts

Vijaygad is positioned in Ratnagiri. It is also near the Jaigad fort.

Vijaygad fort is placed on the north bank of river Shastri. It is a small size fort, nearly ¼ of acre in region. The fort is covered on 3-sides by ditch.

In 1862, its walls were damager and it had just one complete gun. There was no water and no garrison.

Vetalgad Fort is on the hill area of Penur Village, Malvan. It is spread in area of 22 acre. Now the fort is in much damaged condition.
