Parola, Pargad Forts

Parola fort was developed in 1727. It has covered an area of 160 sq-meters. It said that this fort was belong to father of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi.

Pargad is located in south direction of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, at the distance of 28 kilometres from the Chandgad. Peaceful environment and blossoming green surrounding is its main attraction.

Also, the fort is famous for bronze statue of the great Shivaji and a temple of Bhagvati Bhavani.

How to go there :

By Bus -

• You can start your trekking from Morle village, Taluka Dodamarg.
• You can go there by bus from Dodamarg to Morle. It is at 18 kilometres.
• Another available route : You can go there directly by bus from Chandgad to Pargad.
