- Padmdurg
Padmaurg fort is also called Kasa fort. It I located in Raigad district, Maharashtra. It is the north-west direction of Janjira and was made by shivaji Maharaj. It is another important lure-spot around Murud Janjira.
The fort is not as huge as Janjira but is also a sea fort. To visit the fort, we have to take permission from custom/ Navy. It is spread over about nine acres area.
Direct boat is not available, visitors needs to hire a private boat.
How to go there :
- By Road: Bus service is available from Pune, Borivli, Thane, Mumbai/Bombay central & Dadar.
- By Air: Mumbai airport is the close airport. It is 170 kilometer away from the Murud-Janjira.
- By Train: Roha is the closest rail station on Konkan line. Roha to Murud-Janjira needs an hour by the taxi.
