Nagardhan and Mahuli Forts

Nagardhan Fort

The fort is in the Nagpur District. The Nagardhan fort is 10 km away form the Ramtek town. The history of this Nagardhan fort has some twist. The fort was built by Gond ruler Bakht Buland. This fort was captured by Raghuji Bhosale in 1710.

Points of Attrction:

There is one land which was built by Raghuji Bhosale in 1710. This ground is square in shape. The ground has an outer rampart with bastions and had an inner wall surrounding the buildings. There is one temple which is below the ground level and has an idol in it. The main gate of the fort is in good condition. Mansar is another archeological site nearby.

How to reach there:

As Nagpur is well known city there is no problem to reach there. Nagpur is well connected by road, rail, and air. Ramtek is at 10 km away form the fort. And this Ramtek is the nearest railway station. Sonegaon Airport is the nearest Airport.

Mahuli Fort

The Mahuli Fort is in the region of Kasara of Maharashtra. The Mahuli Fort is beautiful hill fort. The distance between Mahuli fort and Mumbai is about 90 km. This fort is the highest point in Thane District. In the period of Marathas, the fort was controlled by Shahaji Raje the father of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The season to visit this fort is from October to February.
As fort is near to the Mumbai that is at 90 km there is no problem to reach at Mumbai. And from Mumbai there are number of buses are available to this Mahuli fort.
