Moragad Fort

This fort is in the Nasik District. It is a hill fort. The height of this fort is 4450 feet. The fort is in the range of Selberi-Dolberi. The grade of the fort is easy. This fort is actually the second bastion of the Mulher fort. You can say it is just a part of Mulhar fort. There is no accommodation facility. One can able to stay on Mulhar fort. There is no food facility. One should arrange for himself. Also there water cisterns are available so no problem of water. But these water cisterns are dry in summer.

Attracting points are:

The top of the fort is almost plateau. Near to the second garrison there is one cave. There are reservoirs which are beautifully built. Also there are two water cisterns. One can able to see other forts such as Hargad, Mangi-Tungi, Nhavigad, and Hanuman Tekdi. Residential buildings are not in good condition. Also one can able to see nature beauty which is around the fort.

How to reach there:

There is only one route to reach on the top of Moragad fort. And this is from the bastion of Mulher fort. If you follow the route of Someshwar temple then this also goes towards the fort. From the temple of Bhandangnath, goes towards uphill path which is at the right side of the temple. Then it is required you to climb few steps which leads to route of Moragad. There are three garrisons on the way. One and half hour required to reach on the top of the fort.
