Korigad Fort

The Korigad is in the Pune District. The Korigad fort is about 35 km away from the Lonavala. The height of this fort is about 3049 feet. The Korigad fort is lies west of Mulsi. The village at the bottom of the fort is Peth-Shahpur or Ambebivali. The fort was built by Shivaji Maharaj in the year of 1657.

Points of Attraction:

This forts offer you lots of amazing views. One can able to see Nagphani Point, Tung, Tikona, Matheran, Prabalgarh, Manikgad and Karnala hills. There is one Ganesh temple, caves, four ponds, and temples which are not in good condition. Also you can able to see other spots such as gjhangad, Sudhagad and Sarasgad, and Tailbaila Walls.

Way to reach there:

First go to Pune then from Pune catch the Lonavala local. From Lonavala catch the bus of Ambebivali. From there one good route directly leads to the fort. Mulsi lake is not far away from fort. So you can able to visit Mulsi lake also in one day visit.
