Kavnai Fort
The Kavnai fort is the hill fort. The fort is located in the Nasik District. The Igatpuri region is mainly divided as eastern and western range. The eastern one is Kalsubai and western one includes Trigalwadi, Kavnai, Harihar, Brhmagiri, Anjaneri forts. The height of this fort is 2500 feet. There is one cave in which four to five peoples stay at a time. Water is available in the water tank. But there is food facility available on the fort. You have to require at least one hour to reach on the top of the fort. If you want to visit this fort then you are also able to visit this other fort. But for that you have to require more days. Nasik is the best place for staying three to four days.

There is one cave which is at the right side on the top of the fort. There is one bastion on west side of the fort. And one water cistern is located near to the bastion. Small pond is at the south side of the fort. The main entrance of this is in good condition. Also one can able to see Kalsubai range, Trimbak range and Tringalwadi and other forts from the top of the fort.
Route to go there:
First go to Nasik then from Nasik go to Igatpuri. From Igatpuri catch the bus of Vaitarna get down at waki junction. Right way from here directly goes towards the base village of the fort that is Kavnai. From base village you have required one and half hour to reach on the top of the fort.

Kangori Fort
The Kangori also known as Mangalgad fort which is in the Dudhanewadi village. The history about this fort is that the fort was built by Chandrarao More of Jawli. The height of this fort is about 2465 feet tall.
This fort was captured by Shivaji Maharaj in 1656. The fort has one temple of Kangori Devi. Also there are water tanks on the top of the fort. The 'wada' and the prison are not in good condition.
The route for this fort is via Pune. First go to Pune then from Pune go to Bhor, then go to varandh. And last from this Varandh the Dudhanewadi is about 18 km away. The best time to visit this fort is in the rainy season.
