Harihar Fort
This fort is in the Nasik district and in the trimak range. The height of this fort is about 1120 meters that is 3676 feet. Nirgudpada is the base village. The fort has three faces and two egdes so it looks like it built on a triangular prism of rock. The forts in this range are very formidable and rocky. All the forts in this range are very hot in the summer season. Fort's three faces and two edges are absolutely vertical (90 degrees). One face at Nirgudpada is called 'Scottish kada'. The name of this face is due the one Doug Scott, a British mountaineer. This is the first who climb this face in 1986.
Points of Attraction:
There are 117 steps on the fort. Also there is one temple of Shivling. Also there are other forts just like Vaghera in the north, Tringalwadi, Kavnai and Upper Vaitarna lake in the south, Brahma, Kapda and Brahmagiri in the east, and Fani, Basgad and Utwad in the west. There is one cave on the fort but this cave do not cantain any idol. The top view of this fort is very excited and one can able to see this top without any instrument. Also there is one pinnacle of Fani, which is about 30 metres high resembles the hood of a cobra. The marathi word for the hood is 'fanna'.
Way to reach there:
As Nasik is well connected to all important cities and by all that is road, rail, and air there is no problem to reach there. Then from Nasik go towards Trymbakeshwar and finally from Trymbakeshwar go to Nirgudpada which base village of the fort.
