Deogiri (Daultabad) Fort
The Deogiri (Daulatabad) fort is in the Aurangabad District which has special construction which makes its unique in Maharashtra. Actually the construction of this fort is just like it is combination of both that is hill fort and ground fort. The rocks around the fort are designed just like so its makes impossible for climb. The fort is surrounded by three kots.

Attracting Points:
The Deogiri (Daulatabad) fort is famous for the special structure, designs. Besides that this fort has spacious halls, pavilions and courtyards. The designs of the fort are just like Chand Minar, Jami Masjid and royal palaces. The Chand Minar was built by Ala-ud-din Bahmani in 1435 and is located in the fort. The main use of this Chand Minar is to prayer hall. The height of Chand Minar is about 30 meters. The Chand Minar has glazed tiles and carved motifs. Also there is one blue tiled Chini Mahal which is lies a little higher than the Chand Minar.
The Jami Masjid was built by the Khilji ruler of Delhi, Qutub-ud-din Mubarak in 1318. This Masjid is also in the fort. The other attracting points are large stone-lined Elephant tank which is used for the fort's water supply, two giant terracotta pipes etc.
How to reach there:
The Aurangabad city is well connected by all that is air, road, and by train. So there is no problem to reach there. The Aurangabad is connected with Mumbai by train, bus, road. There are two trains that depart daily from Mumbai to Aurangabad. Also there are number of private Taxies from Mumbai to Aurangabad.
