Chambhargad Fort
The Chambhargad is lies in the Raigad. The height of this fort is about 1200 feet. The grade of this fort is medium and is a hill type fort. Also there are other forts which are located near to this Chambhargad fort.
This fort were basically built to watch surrounding area. The time required to reach on the top of fort from Mahad is one and half hour. You have to require arrange the food as there is no food facility available. There is no problem of water as water available in tanks on the fort.
Attracting Points:
From the height of this fort it knows that this fort is small. On the top of this fort there are two water tanks. From the condition of these tanks it can be concluded that this fort is relatively old. From the top of this fort one can able to see other forts such as Songad, Lingana, Kaldurg.
How to reach there:
First go to Mahad then from Mahad S.T. depot go to Chambharkhed which is at the base of this Chambharkhed fort. From the Khind you will require one and half hour to reach on the top of the fort.

If you want to visit Chandragad Fort then first go to Swargate-Pune then from there catch early morning that is 6am ST which goes up to Vai fata on Satara highway.
Then go to Mahabaleshwar Arthur seat point. Arthur seat point is the starting point for this fort. The height of this fort is about 3543 feet. And the grade of this fort is easy. RAMCHANDRAGAD is another name of the fort.
