Bhudargad and Hatgad Forts

  • Bhudargad Fort

    The Bhudargad fort is located in Paal village which is 50 km away from the south side of the Kohlapur. Actually this fort was built by Raja Bhoj of Shilhar family. But some peoples also says that the fort was built by Shahu Maharaj. From the condition of the fort it look likes very old fort.

    Points of Attraction:

    The fort is stands on a huge vertical rock. Also there are two temples of Shiva. And also there is one idol of Goddess Hanumanta. The important thing about these temples is that the inner temperature of the temple remains same that is cold in every season as compare to outer surrounding. The temple always remains cold due to its structure. Also there is a Dudhsagar lake.

    How to reach there:

    If you want to visit Bhudargad Fort then first go to Kohlapur. Then from Kohlapur go to Paal village which is 50km away from Kohlapur. From Kohlapur to Paal, take bus and go to Paal which at the base of fort. Also there are private vehicles available to go Paal.

  • Hatgad Fort

    The Hatgad fort is in the Nasik District. The height of this fort is about 3600 feet and is lies near the Mulher village. The fort is also near to the district's border of the Gujarat. On the top of the fort there are two reservoirs.

    And the names of reservoirs are Jamna and Ganga. Due to these water reservoirs there is no problem of water on the top of the fort. The Saputara which is located in the Gujarat is just 8 km away from the fort.
