Bhivgad Fort
Bhivgad fort is located in the Raigad District in Maharashtra state. This fort is a hill fort. The height of this fort is around 800 feet. Vadap is the base village. You have to require one day visiting this fort. Water cisterns are available but the water is not drinkable. There is no facility of accommodation. One can stay directly in base village. The specific history of this fort is not known.
Points of attraction:
Actually this fort is very small fort. The fort is adjacent to the Dhak-Bahiri. There are two to three water tanks on the top of the fort. There are remains of different structures are also on the fort. The grade of this fort is easy. One can able to see ranges, nature of beauty, and fort like Dhak-Bahiri.
How to go there:
The fort is located near to the Mumbai. So, one can easily reach at Karjat. First go to Kalyan then go to Karjat. The distance between Karjat and Vadap is around 7 km. There are number of buses available to go Vadap from Karjat. Local transportation provides buses on daily basis
Kunjargad Fort
The Kunjargad fort is located in the Malshej region. The base village of the fort is Kopre. The height of the fort is around 4500 feet above sea level. There is no source of drinkable water on the top of the fort. There is one cave on the top of the fort. Also there is one natural whole called nadhe. . It is required to crawl on hands and knees to cross this hole. The cave which is on the top of fort is very old that's why cave attracts nature lovers. There are buses and trains are available to reach there from Pune and Mumbai.
