Bahadurgad Fort

Bahadurgad is located at the river bank of Bhima in the Nagar Distric. The Bahadurgad is actually land fort. It is lies in the in the base village. This fort has two doors out of which one opens in village and other opens at the end of fort. So, better choice for you to enter into the fort from village side door.

Points of Attraction:

There is one statue of Maruti which attract you due to its simplicity and delegate design. This statue is 5 feet in height. The main and most attractive point on the fort is the group of five temples. There is one temple of Bhairavnath which is one of these five temples. The condition of these temples is not good.

Out of these five temples Bhairavnath temple is repainted and hence it loose it original beauty. There are many devastated structures which are from Yadav period. In period of Aurangazeb, he created two storied for him. And this explains about the meeting of Aurangazeb and Shabhaji Raje. To see all forts you have to require at least three and half hours.

How to reach there:

Basically there are two ways to reach there out of, one is from Pune to Daund and other is from Pune to Bhigavan both are on the Pune - Solapur road. Out of if you have to choose first one route then first go to on the way of Daund but before Daund there is one way to Shrigondha village. Then from Shrigondha go to Pedgoan village. The time required for this route is about four hours.

And if you have to choose second route then first go to Bhigvan. Go on to the Rasshin road. The Pedgoan village is about 25 km away from Rasshin. And the time required for this route is about five hours.
