Aad Fort

Aad, one of the near Nasik is situated in the Kalsubai range of Western Ghat. Small but beautiful, the fort must be visited. Aad is adjacent to the AVANDH & PATTA fort. The grade of the fort is medium and height is 4046 feet.

How to Reach :

  • First go to Girwadi village from Nashik via bus. From here you have to go Tirdhe village which lies at the base of the fort. Then you have to climb for Aadwadi village from where Fort is in glance.

Achala Fort

Achala fort, nestled in Nashik at the height 1210 meters from sea level, is famous for its scenery. The beautiful Achala Fort is special for complete green covering on it without a single tree. The two ancient water caves found here have fantastic history. One of them is filled with water and other does not. You will find Hero Stone in distance painted with Shendur (orange colored holy substance). Seven feet such Hero Stone is longest as well as biggest.

How to Reach-

  1. First go to Vani, small village near Nashik. On the Saputara road from Vani, you will find Pimpri Achala at 15 km. Then you can view the fort that is hardly four KM away.
  2. It will take two and half hours to climb up the fort from the base. And tree and half hours to reach the fort from Achala village.
