Ponmudi is idyllic hill resort and it is with narrow and winding pathways. Its cool and green natural environment with wooded environs makes Ponmudi a best place to visit at least once. It is located 915 meter above sea level and 61 kilometers on the north-east side of Thiruvananthapuram.
This place is blessed with the spectacular and peaceful site seeing and the complex are very good base for those who loves bird watching. It is also an excellent trekking trail with variety of cute mountain flowers and small rivulets, springs, exotic butterflies and there is a deer park nearby.
Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary
Peppara wildlife sanctuary is totally spread over an area of 53 square kilometers on the Western Ghats and it is reached easily from Vithurai, on the way to Ponmudi. Rich flora and fauna, Peppara is a place which is dotted with hillocks.
