Kochi is a district place and located on coast of the Arabian Sea with Kottayam and Alappuzha district on its south and Idukki on its east with Thrissur on its north. Located on the cluster of islands with narrow peninsulas, this city, Kochi is perfectly replication of eclecticism of Kerala.
It has area of 2408 square kilometers and it is at an altitude above sea level. It is very interesting towns in South and Kerala. Now days Ernakulam and Kochi both are very happening cities. It is getting rapidly industrialized and developed.

It is divided in 3 parts namely one is Fort Kochi, which occupied southern promontory on seaward, second is Willingdon Island created in the 1920 by dredging, and third is headquarter of the South Command of Indian Navy.
