Ranganathittoo is from the three islands in the Cauvery and just three kilometers away from the upstream of Srirangpatnam. One can visit this place by road and by boats also.
It is naturally beautiful place to visit and one of the right place to see storks, ibis, egrets, spoonbills and cormorants.
The forest here is home for the Elephants, Sambar, Barking Deer, Gaur, Chital, Langurs, Crocodiles, Sloth Bears with more than hundreds of different bird species. Main attarction of sighting is the elusive cats-the leopard and the tiger.
This bird sanctuary is open since 9 am to 6 pm every day.
