Mudabidri is one more Jain pilgrim centre in Karnataka and it has 18 Jain Bastis. It is at a distance of 35 kilometers distance form North-East side of Mangalore city. There is a famous thousand pillar Chandranatha shrine from 1429 AD, also well known as Savira Kambada Basti is a famous spot to visit.
There are three mandapas and they all lead to the sanctuary with entrance opens to a superb monolithic pillar and Mana-stambha. Jain monastery and scripts on it dating back to 12th century on palm leaves and the Chowta Palace from the 17th century occupied by the royal descendants.
For tourist cottages for accomodation are available and Karkala is at a distanceof 17 kilometers from Mudabidri.
