Jaldurga Fort
The Jaldurga fort is located in Jaldurga village which is in Raichur District in Karnataka state. The fort is around 20 km away from the Lingsugur town. According to history of this fort, it was built Adil Shahi King of Bijapur. The name of the fort is due the River Krishna which cascade down from this fort and it is surrounded by water from all sides. Here is one beautiful picture of Jaldurga fort.
This is one of beautiful forts from Karnataka state. And hence Meadows Taylor describes fine description about this fort and its beauty in his famous book "Noble Queen". One can reach here from Lingsugur town which is just 20 km away.
