Devanahalli Fort
The Devanahalli Fort is located near to the Bangalore in Karnataka state. The fort was built in 15th century. The fort was built in the period of Mallabairegowda king. This Devanahalli fort was successfully controlled by this Mallabairegowda king till the mid of 17th century. After that the fort was came under the control Hyder Ali. After that the fort was controlled by Tipu Sultan the son of the Hyder Ali. After the period of Tipu Sultan the fort falls in to the hand of British (1791).
Points of Attraction:
There are lots of things which states about the presence of Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan. There is one remembrance inscription which clearly indicates that the fort is the birth place of the Tipu Sultan (1751). There are trees of banana, mango, and also of tamarind. The Devanahalli fort encompasses many temples. The Venugopalswamy temple is one of them. Besides that the fort has Siddalingeshwara, images of Ganapati, Parvati, and many more. On the left side of the main road the fort has Anjaneya temple. This temple is also known with Sarovaranjaneya temple.
How to reach there:
As fort is around thirty five kilometers away from the Bangalore so, there is no problem to reach there. Bangalore is one of the biggest cities from the Karnataka state and hence it is well connected to other cities. There are numbers of private as well as Karnataka state buses are available to reach at the fort from Bangalore. One can visit other places also which are near to this fort.
