- Vajrasila
Vajrasila is the red sandstone slab constructed under the Bodi tree is the marking of the place, where Gautama Buddha use to sat during his meditation time. Many pilgrims coming from all corners of the world tie the colored cloth pieces on the branches of this tree and pray here.
- Animesh Lochana
Animesh Lochana is one more sacred place to visit in Bihar. It is believed that this is the place where Buddha stood with a long fixed look in appreciating the Bodhi tree continuously for a whole week. This temple is also the point of attraction of many Hindu pilgrims, as many of the Hindu believes that Budhha is also one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu, a most worshiped Hindu god.
- Monasteries
Monasteries are the places where most countries with large population of Buddhist people, built a temple representing there own architectural style. Here many courses as well as the retreats organized during winter and it is very active in the month from October to the start of the February each year.

- Japanese Temple
A huge Buddha Statue in stone of nearly 20 meter in height and standing on a base of 5 meter base, beyond the Japanese temple, at the end of the road and it was installed in the year of 1989. There is a modern and two storey Japanese temples situated with beautifully polished marble floors and gold images of the Lord Buddha. Across the road one more temple is there named as Daijokyo Temple.
- Tibetan Temple
There is a Tibetan temple and monastery with a ornamentally painted and has a symbol of budhhism, Dharmachakra or a Wheel of Law, and it is believed that it turns three times while praying for forgiveness of all the sins done in life. There is a very large nearly two meter metal ceremonial drum and colored with red and gold is also put for a display.
- Nipponji Temple
Nipponji temple houses free clinic and a monastery. There is also a Peace Bell.
- Bhutan Temple
Bhutan temple is a colorful temple and it is believed that this temple is protected by the carved Himalayan deities over there.
- Thai Temple
Thai temple situated here is in a glittering pagoda-style and it looks very much similar to the colorful wats seen in Thailand.
- Chinese Temple
Chinese temple here houses revolving ceremonial prayer drum and which is very enormous in size. There are also some new Tibetan temples seen around like Dargeyling, Shenchen Tenyi, which are built near that temple.
- Burmese Temple
In the year 1936, Burmese, who started a campaign to restore the Mahabodhi temple built in the 19th century, built monastery here. There are also Nepalese, Korean, Taiwanese, Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi and Vietnamese Monasteries present. There is a Tai Bodhi Kham Monastery and it was built by Assam and Arunachal Pradesh tribes.
- Great Buddha Statue
Great Buddha Statue here is 25 meter in height and built in the Japanese Kamakura style. It was unveiled here by the Dalai Lama in the year 1989. There is also another 100 meter high Maitreya Buddha statue built in Bodhgaya.
- Archaeological Museum
There is an archaeological museum which has the collection of antiquities like fragments of railings, sculptures and posts from the original temple. There are bronze, stone and even gold images of Buddha and Hindu deities seen in the collection. It is open to visit since 10 am to 5 pm every day and closed on Friday.
