Namdapha national park is located on Indo-Burma border and it is very vast, nearly 1850 square kilometers in area and it is under the auspices of Project Tiger. This National Park is with a very unique feature as it is home to 4 particular members from cat family namely leopard, tiger, clouded-leopard and the snow-leopard.
Best season to visit this park is in the month of October to April each year. The average altitude of this park varies from 300 meters to 4500 meters.
How to go
- This park can visited via Margherita at a distance of 54 kilometers or via Miao at a distance of 20 kilometers, these are railway stations nearest from park.
- Dibrugharh at a distance of 140 kilometers from Miao is the nearest airport from park.
One can hire Jeeps from Divisional Forest Officer of Wildlife and use it for visiting the Namdapha National Park.
