Ganga Sagar Lake

Gyaker Sinyi is the beautiful and forest lake at a distance of 6 kilometers from Itanagar. It has all roads through bamboo and tree ferns. Just after walking at foot of a hill, across bamboo-bridge, go some steps up and you will get the hillside forest lake.

This lake is easy to cross by the row or a motor boat.

Itanagar Wildlife Sanctuary

Itanagar Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Subansiri district. Here one can have a look of different animals like elephants, leopards, tigers, barking deer with a large number of bird species.

Zoological Park

At Zoological park one can see the Himalayan black bear, royal Bengal tiger, snow leopard, leopard, great Indian hornbill, panther and many different rare birds species.

Handicraft Centre

Handicraft centre is very good place to have some shawls and carpets shopping. Carved baskets with very famous north-eastern cane & bamboo works are also available here to buy. This center is just at the lower end of Tawang town and located near hospital.

Polo Park

Polo Park is located on the ridge top. It has interesting botanical specimens, which includes cane wood, which almost like palm. One smaller zoo is there inside the premises of this park.

Bhalukpong

Bhalukpong is well known for it's 'Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary', which is located just on the banks of Kameng River and it offers boating as well as nice fishing opportunities to the visitors. One ancient Buddhist Stupa can be seen here.

Bhalukpong is at a distance of 182 kilometers away from Itanagar. Nearer airport from this place is Tezpur and the nearer railway station is Rangpara at a distance of 25 kilometers on North-east side.
