Nagunur Fort
The fort lies in the village of Nagunur in Karimnagr District. The fort is a witness of royal power of the Kakatiyas dynasty. The fort was built in the period of Kakatiyas dynasty. The fort has many temples. The distance between Nagunur village and the Karimnagar is just 8 kms. This fort was the one of the important fort form the Kakatiyas kingdom.
Points of Attraction:
There are many temples in the fort. The fort has ruins of the Kalyana and Kakatiyas temples. Also there is one another temple of Shiva which has pillars and the galleries which are very attractive. This Shiva temple is most important temple in the fort. This temple has three shrines. The main entrance of the temple is at the north side of the fort. And remaining three shrines faces another three directions. The inner beams of the temple have sculptured pictures of musicians which playing on Mridaagam and other instruments. Visuals of dancers in stylish poses are carved on the panel.

The distance between Kaimnagar town and the Nagunur village is just 8 kms. The town Karimnagar is well connected by roads. There are buses and private vehicles are available from the Karimnagar.
