Vagator Beach
Vagator beach has beautiful scenery all around the beach. It is also one of the famous beaches in Goa. It is undoubtedly one of the best beaches in the world. The red cliffs look down to the soft white sand spotted with rocks of black lava. There are huge swaying coconut palm trees and the deep sea with blue color water and white waves touching the shore.
Infact there are no words to describe the natural beauty of the Vagator beach. There is a 5oo year old Portuguese fort with is like an extra topping and cheese on the pizza. There is no end to the splendid beauty of the Vagator beach.
This beach is divide into two by the seaside headland, towards the south is the Ozrant beach and to the north is the Vagator beach. To the center lies a small cliff of beach which is cut down from the Ozrant beach known as the Tel Aviv Beach. These 3 beaches are famous hot spots with tourists especially with the British visitors. Vagator beach is the Chapora beach which is equally famous among the tourists. This is the ideal place for relaxing and enjoying away from the hum drum of the city life. This beach is unspoiled by the tourists in spite of being crowded with people thought out the year. There is a sand sculpture face of lord Shiva which should not be missed in any case. Do not miss to take the snapshot of that beautiful sculpture. As the sea is gentle and shallow, it is perfect place for swimming.
Fresh water spring is there at Vagator spring. As there are two springs one to the north side which ends at the foot of hills. The other is to the south in Ozrant, going here is little difficult. It is well-known as Zor, Konkani meaning of spring. After having a dip in the sea you can have a bathe under this spring and wash off the salt water of the sea.
There are many stalls on the beach which includes refreshment stalls, handicraft, sea-side items and entertainment stalls for kids. On the beach you can play in water, have bathe, shop and even eat at the same time a complete package of enjoyment is here in one place itself.
