Chapora beach is one of the most popular beaches in Goa. This beach is undisputedly one of the most frequently visited beaches in Goa. the first thing that strikes to mind is the white sandy stretch, the blue sea, sky, the black rocks and the huge coconuts palms. It is the place for the beach lovers as it has a great combination of sea, sand and the sky.

Chapora sea beach is safe to have a bathe as the waves are gentle and calm. There fore it is very hard to resist the alluring waves and one can't stop oneself from playing in this water. Visitors even prefer lying down on the soft sand and warm their body with the sun rays coming through the huge coconut palm. This offers relaxing and pleasing moments on this beach. Chapora beach is considered as the most fascinating place of the Goan coastline.

Chapora beach is crowded with people all the time, both Indian as well as foreigners. The beach is full with picturesque and thrilling view of the sunset and sunrise. People some times just take a leisure walk on the beach.

There are two other famous beaches which can be visited while on your trip to Chapora beach they are Vagator beach and the Anjuna beach.

Interesting place to visit

  • Chapora Fort:

    Chapora fort is 500 years Old Portuguese fort. The fort is built with lava-bedecked black stone. This fort is one of the main attractions of this beach. This beach offers a splendid view of the sea and the dense coconut forest. Chapora fort takes us back into the memories of the royal rulers who ruled Vagator hue. This fort is built by the Mughal ruler Adil Shah of Bijapur.

  • Vagator beach:

    Vagator beach is just two kilometers away from the Chapora beach on the cliff top and separates Anjuna beach from the southern end.

  • Anjuna beach:

    Anjuna beach is famous for its sand, sea and sky view.

Accommodation:

There are many guesthouses available on the Chapora beach. They are reasonably priced and they suit everyone's pockets. There are few café house and restaurants near the beach. Budget hotels and resorts are there on the west side of the main road in Chapora.

Travel rout

  • Airways: Nearest airport is the Dabolim airport just 29 kilometers away from Panaji. From here you can hire taxis and buses to Chapora beach.
  • Railways: Nearest railway station is the Karmali station it is just 11 kilometers away from Panaji. From Panaji there are taxis and local buses available to go to Chapora beach.
  • Road ways: There are state transport buses and private luxury buses from Panaji to all major cities of India. There are frequent local buses from Panaji to Chapora beach.

Best time to visit.

Best time to visit is from October to March. As this is the festival season in goa and climate wise it is cool.
