Candolim Beach :
Candolim beach is the longest beach in the city and is in the Bardez taluka. This is a quiet and peaceful beach, and the number of beach resorts is very few as compared to the other beaches in goa. It is the birth place of the father of Hypnotism and a very famous goan freedom fighter Abba Faria.
Beach lovers will have a great time here as the beach is calm and has tranquil surroundings. Candolim beach is a small fishing town. This beach is less crowded with visitor besides being one of the popular destinations in Goa.
Candolim beach is beautiful stretch with soft sand, the deep blue sea and sky. It is surrounded by huge coconut palm trees all around.
There are special boats arranged for the visitors in the evening which offers an amazing view of the sunset. Here you get to see the golden sun touching the blue sea and turning the color of the sea as that of the sky and gradually sinking into the sea. - Fort Aguada:
There is a very famous fort next to the beach on a cliff built-in the year 1612 by the Portuguese. This fort was built in order to protect Goa from the Dutch invaders. Aguada fort has a citadel, a huge bell, lighthouse and clock. Visiting this fort will give you different view of Goa.
- Candolim church:
Built-in the year 1560, dedicated to 'our lady of hope', this church appears as a white icing cake. With the strong efforts of the villager the church has been more attractive in recent years.

As this place is far from the hustle bustle of the city life there are limited accommodation options available here. There are few beach resorts and hotels besides the beach. As there are few options rates are also high during the season time. These few resorts and hotels offer you a luxurious stay.

Nearest airport is the Dabolim airport which is just 45 kilometers away from the beach. After reaching airport there are taxis and buses which will drop you to the beach.
- Rail ways:
Nearest railway station is the Thivim station just 15 kilometers away from the Candolim beach. There are auto-rickshaws and taxis; they drop the visitors to the beach.
- Road ways:
There are many state transport buses and private luxury buses available from Panjim to all the major cities of India. There are local buses and taxis from Panjim to the Candolim beach.

Best time to visit Candolim beach is from October to March as this is the peak season. During this time there are many festivals going on. This is the right place to enjoy with family and friends.
