Lal Kot
Lal Kot is the original Lal Qila of Delhi. It has an quadrangle plan with huge towers and a number of gates. The most well-known gates are :
Ghazni, Ranjit & Sohan.
It is one of the most olden monuments in Delhi as it was built back in 8th century.
Lal Kot was made by Tomar Ruler Anangpal -I in 731 AD and said that it was reconstructed by the Anangpal-II in eleventh century when he moved the Capital from the Kaannauj to Delhi.
The new digs discovered ruins of many structures inside Lal Kot. The Tough stone-made walls of fortifications are 2.5m to 3m thick.

You can reach there by – either hire auto rickshaw/taxi or take a local bus.

Lal Kot is situated in central Delhi and stand on the Badarpur Qutab Street or Mehrauli Qutab Street.
It can be without difficulty reached from every place of city.
- By Rail Ways :
The nearest rail center is Nizamuddin and nearest metro station is Secretariat.
- By Air Ways :
Indira Gandhi International Airport is the nearest air port.
